Our impact
The Dixons Academies Trust mission is to challenge educational and social disadvantage in the Bradford and Leeds region. We establish high-performing non-faith academies which maximise attainment, value diversity, develop character and build cultural capital.
To achieve our mission, all of our academies share six principles:
- Empowered to lead
- Relentless focus on learning
- Values-driven
- High expectations
- Highly professionalised staff
- Choice and commitment
The success of our academies in driving forward this mission has seen Dixons secure a long-established national reputation for excellence. We established the first free school in the country to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted; as well as placing 8th nationally in Progress 8. Beyond academic excellence, we have created a culture where students enjoy coming to school and parents are proud to send their children to a Dixons school; with many of our academies achieving a 100% satisfaction rate in both these areas.
