Associate Assistant Principal - Behaviour
Thomas has over 12 years of teaching experience and joined Dixons Cottingley Academy in April 2024 as Director of Curriculum Phase for Years 10 and 11. In March 2025, he was appointed Associate Assistant Principal, overseeing behaviour and safeguarding across the academy.
A passionate educator and accomplished musician, Thomas began his career as a music teacher before progressing to Head of Music and Head of Year roles in schools in Slough and Harrogate. His classroom practice and leadership are grounded in high expectations, strong relationships and a belief that every student deserves the best possible chance of success.
Thomas is driven by a commitment to inclusion, ensuring that all students feel safe, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential—both academically and personally. He continues to champion the importance of music and creativity in education, believing it plays a vital role in developing confidence, discipline and joy in learning.
