Donna Hassan
Pastoral Lead
Donna is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every student at Dixons Cottingley Academy. She is passionate about ensuring that all young people feel safe, supported and valued so they can thrive both in and beyond school.
Since joining the Academy in 2019 as an Assistant Director of Curriculum Phase, Donna has worked closely with KS4 students, leading Year 11 and supporting them through some of the most important stages of their education. Her dedication to pastoral care led to her appointment as Pastoral and Senior Safeguarding Lead, a role through which she now shapes the school’s culture of safety, wellbeing and trust as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Donna has extensive experience in public service and strong working relationships with external agencies, ensuring that vulnerable students and families receive the right support at the right time. Her calm, compassionate and proactive approach ensures that safeguarding remains everyone’s responsibility at Dixons Cottingley.
She continues to be driven by the belief that every child deserves to feel safe and cared for, and that strong safeguarding practice is the foundation of successful learning and happy futures.
