Vice Principal - Personal Development
David spent the first 6 years of his teaching career at Lawnswood School, progressing to Deputy Head of Department as the school transitioned from Special Measures to Good within 9 months.
A move to London saw a passion for Teaching and Learning extend to the role of Innovation Lead within the Outstanding Harris Boys Academy, East Dulwich. Here, David oversaw vocational courses in several Harris schools from Key Stage 4 and 5 whilst leading on Teaching and Learning, CPD, ITT /ECT lead, and QA at Harris Boys for over 6 years.
Whilst at Harris, David achieved the highest Progress scores at Key Stage 4 and 5 of over +3 across all classes for 5 years.
Prior to moving to Dixons, David was Assistant Principal at the Outstanding Ruth Gorse Academy in Leeds. Responsibilities included Teaching and Learning, CPD, QA, CEAIG to name a few.
At DCO, David is now Acting Vice Principal, overseeing Quality of Education, Student Leadership, Recognition and has previously overseen Personal Development.
