Admissions

Year 7 intake in September 2021

Applications to the Academy should be made via the local authority/council CAF (Common Application Form). You will need to name the Academy as one of your school preferences on that form.

If you are applying for a place at Dixons Cottingley Academy under the 'Exceptional medical or social need' or 'Children of staff' oversubscription criteria, please follow the instructions in the Guidance document which is available from the Downloads section at the bottom of this page.

Places will be filled in line with the oversubscription criteria stated in the Admissions and Appeals Policy (available from the Downloads section below).

More information about the secondary school application process is available here from September: https://www.bradford.gov.uk/ed...

Further information about the Academy can be found on this website or by contacting the Academy via: e-mail: info@dixonsco.com or telephone: 01274 567281

Open Event

Because of the current restrictions due to the coronavirus, it will not be possible for parents to visit the Academy in person. Information that would usually be part of the open evening will appear on the Academy website in due course.

In-Year applications

If you wish to apply for a place for your child at Dixons Cottingley mid-year, applications should be made through the Bradford Admissions team.

To apply, you will need to complete an In-Year Common Application Form (ICAF) for the local authority in order to be eligible for a place if a vacancy occurs. The form and more information about the process is available from www.bradford.gov.uk/education-... or you can request for a form to be sent to you by e-mailing: schooladmissions@bradford.gov.uk or by telephoning 01274 439200.

If a vacancy does occur, we will look at the local authority waiting list and prioritise children in accordance with the oversubscription criteria (as stated in the Admissions & Appeals policy available from the Downloads section below).

Should you have any questions about the Admissions process please contact the Academy via: e-mail: info@dixonsco.com or telephone 01274 567281
